Questions About Stone Plugs, Tunnels, & Gauges?

Got a question about one of our stone plug products?  Get in touch and we will aim to answer your questions and get back to you as soon as possible!

Are stone plugs good for your ears?

Stone plugs are porous heavy and so should only be worn with healed ears.  As long as your lobes are healed and the plugs are cleaned regularly then stone plugs are perfectly safe to wear.

How do you care for stone plugs?

Stone plugs should be washed regularly with warm water and a mild soap. You can use a soft cloth or brush to help clean them also but nothing too rough as this may damage the stone.

Are stone plugs safe?

Stone plugs are safe to wear in healed ears when they are the correct size for your stretched ears. Stone is a natural material and adverse reactions are rare. Issues usually arise when people do not clean their stone plugs or when they wear them when not fully healed.

How do you insert stone plugs?

After you have taken a warm shower put some Jojoba Oil onto the ear lobe and gently massage it in. Then put a small amount of oil on the plug and press it into the hole at an angle, like you would with a button. If there is pain or resistance stop & wait. If you're stretching up a size then wait a couple of weeks before using the right size taper to stretch again. If a stone plug doesn't work try using a material with some more flexibility first like silicone.
